About the double layer design
01 · What is a Custom Double Layer Dakimakura?
A Custom Double Layer Dakimakura is a layered body pillow cover with an outer artwork set and a second artwork layer hidden inside. The outer layer opens through a concealed horizontal zipper to reveal the inner design.
02 · How is it different from a standard dakimakura?
A standard dakimakura usually has one cover with a front and back design. A Double Layer Dakimakura uses an outer and inner layer, giving you four custom artwork sides and a more complex layered construction.
03 · How many images do I need?
You can upload up to four artworks: Outer Front, Outer Back, Inner Front and Inner Back. These four upload positions create the complete Double Layer design.
04 · Can I use the same image more than once?
Yes. You do not need four different images. You can reuse the same artwork on multiple sides or mix different designs across the outer and inner layers.
05 · Where are the four artworks printed?
Artwork 01 and Artwork 02 are printed on the front and back of the outer layer. Artwork 03 and Artwork 04 are printed on the front and back of the inner layer hidden beneath it.
06 · How does the hidden zipper work?
A concealed horizontal zipper is built into the outer layer. When closed, it keeps the layered construction discreet; open it to access and reveal the inner artwork layer.

07 · Will you check my artwork before printing?
Yes. Our team reviews uploaded files before production to check image quality, cropping and overall layout. If we notice an issue that may affect the final result, we will contact you before printing.
08 · What image resolution is recommended?
High-resolution, vertically oriented artwork usually produces the best result. Full-character images with clear details, minimal compression and enough space around the subject are recommended.
09 · Can you remove the background from my artwork?
Background removal may be possible depending on the artwork. Upload your image first and our team can review whether background adjustment is suitable for the final layout.
10 · Which fabric should I choose?
New 2WAY offers a premium smooth surface and high stretch. 2WAY is soft, stretchy and suited to vivid artwork. Peach Skin has a softer matte feel and is budget-friendly. Plush is thicker, warmer and softer for a cozier texture.
11 · Is the inner pillow included?
The inner pillow is included only when it is shown in the option you select. Check your selected configuration before ordering to confirm whether you are purchasing a cover only or a cover with an inner pillow.
12 · Will my uploaded artwork remain private?
We treat custom artwork as private order material and use it for processing your custom product. Your files are reviewed only as needed for artwork preparation and production.
